Home » Atalanta CEO: “Lookman Wants to Leave. We Received Inter’s First Official Offer”

Ademola Lookman could be on his way out of Atalanta this summer. Speaking during the presentation of Honest Ahanor, Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi confirmed that the Nigerian forward has been open about his desire to leave.
“Ademola has for some time expressed the wish to move on. That’s no secret,” said Percassi. “In all our planning, he was one of the players expected to depart this summer. It aligns with our club philosophy of making one major sale per year.”
The Atalanta executive added that while there had been plenty of interest, no formal proposals arrived until now. “Until yesterday, there was nothing concrete. Then we received the first official offer, which came from Inter.”
Percassi also acknowledged the strong relationship between the two clubs. “Inter is a club we are on excellent terms with. I saw Marotta yesterday at the Lega Serie A meeting, and we have a strong personal and professional relationship. We will evaluate the offer calmly in the next few days and respond accordingly.”
He closed with a clear stance on Atalanta’s transfer policy: “I read and hear many things, but the timing and valuation of Atalanta’s exits are decisions made only by the club.”
