- Juventus and Manchester United are in talks for Jadon Sancho.
- Sancho has a personal agreement with Juve, but United wants €20M, while Juve offers €10M.
- Nico Gonzalez is likely to leave, potentially opening space for Sancho.
- Juventus also asked about Marcus Rashford, valued at €50M.
Sancho’s Third Chance with Juventus?
Some stories refuse to end. Jadon Sancho is not a Juventus player, yet, but has been close to wearing black and white twice before. In summer 2024, Cristiano Giuntoli tried to bring him in, but budget constraints blocked the deal. Six months earlier, in January 2024, Massimiliano Allegri opted for a midfielder over a winger.
Now, the English winger is once again pushing for a move to Turin. His agents are working hard to close the deal, and this time the pieces could fall into place. Sancho has a personal agreement with Juventus, who are open to the move, but only if they can offload another winger and reach a financial agreement with Manchester United.
Nico Gonzalez the Key to Unlocking the Deal
The likeliest departure is Nico Gonzalez. The Argentine winger has received a strong offer from Al Ahly. While he initially rejected the move to Saudi Arabia, his stance has softened. Additionally, Inter Milan has expressed interest in Gonzalez as an alternative to Ademola Lookman.
If Gonzalez leaves, Juventus could pocket around €30 million, he’s valued at €25M on the books, and make room for Sancho in Igor Tudor’s squad. Sancho is willing to accept a lower salary than his current terms, potentially offset by a severance package from United, but Juve still won’t go above €10 million for the transfer. United currently want double that.
Tactical Fit and the Rashford Angle
Sancho is a versatile winger who could allow Tudor to switch from a 3-4-2-1 to a 3-4-3 formation. His recent stint at Chelsea (on loan) didn’t impress, and his time at United has been marred by inconsistency and controversy, so he’s motivated for a fresh start. Serie A and Juventus remain highly appealing to him.
Interestingly, Juventus has also made an inquiry for Marcus Rashford. The 26-year-old left winger, also at Manchester United, is valued around €50 million with a contract until 2028. This deal is considered much more difficult and would only proceed if Juventus significantly increases its offer.
For now, the focus remains on Sancho. If Nico Gonzalez leaves, a third chance could finally bring the Englishman to Turin.
