Home » Napoli Challenge Inter With €50M Bid to Sign Lookman

The transfer window in Italy is taking a new turn, as Napoli have joined the race for Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman with a bold move. They submitted a €50 million offer and proposed a €5 million salary to the player, aiming to outbid Inter. Lookman’s pace, power, and finishing make him an ideal fit for Antonio Conte’s system.
This bid reignites the rivalry between Napoli and Inter, both active in the market and title contenders. Napoli’s offer came directly through Lookman’s agents. It surpasses Inter’s €4 million per season and includes Growth Decree tax benefits.
Lookman, 27, scored 20 goals in the 2024–25 season. Since joining Atalanta in 2022, he has tallied 52 goals in 118 matches. Napoli view him as the perfect left-wing partner for Noa Lang, especially after shifting David Neres to the right.
Inter previously offered €40M, but Atalanta raised the asking price to €50M. Napoli’s arrival has turned the race into a two-way battle. If Lookman accepts the terms, Napoli will open talks with Atalanta.
The pursuit of Lookman is part of a bigger plan. Napoli are closing in on three other signings:
With Lorenzo Lucca already signed to support Romelu Lukaku, Napoli are building a deep and dangerous squad. Conte wants more depth and more goals across competitions: Serie A, Champions League, Supercoppa, and Coppa Italia.
Lookman could be the final piece in the attack. Now, the decision rests with the player. If he gives the green light, Napoli will negotiate with Atalanta and aim to seal one of the biggest moves of the summer.
