PSG Rejects Juventus Loan Plan for Kolo Muani – Talks at a Standstill

Paris Saint-Germain has drawn the line. Unless there’s a major twist in the next five days, Randal Kolo Muani must report to PSG’s training facility in Poissy on July 23. The French striker, who just completed a loan spell at Juventus, is expected to join the pre-season group along with other squad members who didn’t participate in the Club World Cup campaign in the USA.

While PSG’s top players are still on break following their run to the final, everyone else on the payroll is expected to show up and prepare for the new season. That includes Kolo Muani and Renato Sanches, both returning from loans and not currently in Luis Enrique’s plans. The call-up, while formal, sends a clear message: PSG won’t be pushed around in negotiations. The wall stands firm.

Juventus Still Waiting

The move doesn’t necessarily reflect Kolo Muani’s future at PSG. It’s still unclear whether he’ll train with the main group or be separated as an out-of-plan player. What’s certain is Juventus’ ongoing interest. Manager Igor Tudor wants the French striker back, and Sporting Director Damien Comolli is doing all he can to deliver. But there’s no breakthrough yet.

PSG paid €70 million plus bonuses for Kolo Muani in 2023 after a brilliant season at Eintracht Frankfurt. They’re unwilling to sell at a loss. That’s the issue: Juventus is offering a paid loan with an option to buy, but PSG wants a guaranteed sale or at least a loan with obligation, aiming for €40-45 million.

Exit Strategy

Juve’s transfer market is tightly linked to outgoing deals. Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz remain candidates for departure, with Premier League clubs circling. Most recently, Newcastle has expressed interest in Nicolò Savona.

As it stands, Juventus will keep pressing, Kolo Muani will keep hoping, and PSG will keep demanding.
