- Osimhen set to join Al Hilal for €75M, earning €35M annually
- Napoli now focusing on Dan Ndoye as a replacement
- Noa Lang and Edon Zhegrova also on the radar
- Medicals already rumored in Saudi Arabia
Victor Osimhen is on the verge of completing a blockbuster move to Al Hilal. The Nigerian striker is expected to join the Saudi club for €75 million, fulfilling the release clause agreed upon with Napoli. Osimhen himself will reportedly earn €35 million per year, after turning down earlier offers in the €26 million range.
The saga between Osimhen and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been long and turbulent, with tensions over his role and future at the club. Despite that, Napoli stood firm on their valuation. Now, just days before the close of the special transfer window ahead of the Club World Cup, a deal appears to be finalized. All that remains is a formal confirmation, just a PEC away.
Napoli, meanwhile, is already preparing for life after Osimhen. Giovanni Manna is prioritizing the signing of Dan Ndoye from Bologna. The Swiss winger, who turns 25 in October, was already a target in January. Back then, a €25 million offer might have been enough, now Bologna want closer to €40 million.
Conte is eager to add Ndoye to his revamped squad, and Napoli have the funds, having already pocketed €75 million from Kvaratskhelia’s sale to PSG in January. With another €75 million expected from Osimhen’s move, Napoli could have up to €150 million to reinvest, though the club is unlikely to spend recklessly.
Other options include PSV’s Noa Lang, who turns 26 this week, and Lille’s Edon Zhegrova, 26. Napoli are weighing up whether either could be a better fit or backup plan should the Ndoye negotiations stall. Bryan Bonny, 22, is also being evaluated, though Inter may offer him a bigger role under new coach Cristian Chivu.
Napoli’s president, dubbed “King Midas” in Italian media for his shrewd business sense, remains optimistic. He pulled off a financial masterstroke by rejecting a €200M PSG offer for both Osimhen and Kvara in June 2024, only to sell each for €75M six months apart.
Now, the club is looking to reinvest smartly and build another Scudetto-challenging squad under Conte, starting with Ndoye.
