Home » Dusan Vlahovic’s Milan Move Hinges on Discount Deal and Pay Cut

Milan remain attentive to Dusan Vlahovic’s situation, with the Serbian striker emerging as a top target, if the economic conditions align. While the Rossoneri’s priorities remain reinforcing both full-back positions and closing the Ardon Jashari deal, the need for a reliable goalscorer to compete with Santiago Gimenez is growing.
Vlahovic, whose contract with Juventus expires next summer, is increasingly likely to depart before risking a free transfer in 2026. A month ago, he turned down a proposal from Fenerbahçe, while other serious bids have yet to materialize. Juventus’ internal plans for their attack, centered on Jonathan David and possibly another marquee forward, are pushing Vlahovic closer to the exit door.
When the squad reconvenes in nine days, the picture will clarify further. Juventus sporting director Damien Comolli wants to cash in on Vlahovic, but his €12 million net annual salary remains a barrier to many clubs. For the player himself, restarting in a big club is essential after an underwhelming spell in Turin, one Coppa Italia and 58 goals in 145 appearances fell short of expectations. The strong rapport he maintains with former manager Max Allegri, now on Milan’s bench, adds intrigue. Vlahovic and Allegri have remained in contact, and sources indicate the striker would welcome a reunion, even though Allegri at times benched him or opted for substitutions at key moments.
The Rossoneri are cautious not to overstretch financially. Two non-negotiable conditions would need to be met:
According to club insiders, a move at this point remains premature. However, in about three weeks, if Juventus soften their stance and if no other suitors emerge, Milan expect that negotiation margins could open up.
Milan are also evaluating Victor Boniface (Bayer Leverkusen) and Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea) as alternatives. Boniface’s valuation sits around €40 million plus bonuses, while Jackson would command an even steeper price. Both players remain on the radar, but Milan continue to monitor Vlahovic’s evolving situation as their priority option, in part because Allegri sees him as the ideal focal point of a trident with Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao.
Despite fresh reports from L’Equipe linking Leao to Paris Saint-Germain, Milan’s leadership reiterates that the Portuguese star is untouchable. In fact, the idea of deploying Leao and Pulisic either side of Vlahovic is viewed as the blueprint for a new attacking era under Allegri.
While the next steps are likely to depend on Juventus’ willingness to compromise and Vlahovic’s acceptance of a substantial pay cut, the Rossoneri have made clear that if he becomes available on favorable terms, their interest will quickly move from monitoring to action.
